Waylori is an iPhone app for private location history and sharing with people you choose. The beta app may appear on your phone as Orbit.
Effective 3 October 2026
Information the app uses
When you enable recording, the app uses location coordinates, observation times, accuracy, and motion estimates to build your private history, places, journeys, and live location. Depending on the features and permissions you use, the app also handles your display name and chosen profile photo, saved places, sharing settings, messages, battery status, and connection information.
Location recording and sharing are separate choices. You can use your private history without connecting to another person.
Where information goes
The app encrypts your history, saved places, profile information, messages, and sharing choices on your device. Encrypted private archives are stored in your iCloud account. Content you choose to share is separately encrypted for an approved recipient before upload. A recipient can see only the information you grant them; they may keep a screenshot or exported copy after you stop sharing.
Apple operates iCloud, CloudKit, Maps, TestFlight, and the iPhone platform. Apple may process account and sharing metadata, record sizes and timing, map searches, directions, and TestFlight diagnostics under its own policies. The app does not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Optional device access
- Location and motion: Used only when you enable recording. Background location can continue when the app is closed if you allow it.
- Contacts: Lets you choose an invitee. The app does not upload your address book.
- Camera: Scans a connection code. Camera images are not saved or uploaded by the app.
- Photos: A photo is used only when you select it for your profile or a connection workflow.
- Local network: Can help two nearby phones complete a connection after both people choose what to share.
Map searches and directions use Apple Maps and may send a location-based request to Apple.
Your controls and deletion
In the app’s Me → Location & sharing screen, you can turn off GPS, private history, all sharing, or sharing with one person. You can pause or end a connection, change its permissions, and block a person. Previous days are shared only if you select them.
In Privacy and deletion, you can remove a day, your history, or your profile, saved places, messages, and relationships. When offline, cloud cleanup waits to retry. Minimal encrypted deletion and device-revocation records may remain to prevent old copies or devices from restoring deleted information. Apple’s backups and copies someone else independently saved are outside the app’s control.
Reports, feedback, and contact
The app does not send a support report automatically. If you choose to send a report or email us, we receive the details you include and use them to answer your request. TestFlight feedback and crash information you submit are handled through Apple’s TestFlight service.
For privacy questions or help with deletion, contact support@waylori.com. Changes to this policy will be posted here with an updated effective date.
